Testimonials

"To say she’s a wealth of knowledge doesn’t begin to cover it. Julie continues to find new ways to lift us up that we didn’t know we needed. She’s invested in our success in ways that our own families often aren’t. The way that she believes in us makes it easier for us to believe in ourselves. "

Her personalized approach and the sense of community she fosters have helped me navigate the challenges of a DIY post-bacc program with confidence. I’m now closer than ever to realizing my dream, and I owe much of that progress to her mentorship and the network she has built."

- George

“Julie is a phenomenal person to work with. She is knowledgeable about the medical school application process and did a great job at making me think through my decisions.  Instead of giving me generic coaching advice I can find online, she asks thoughtful questions and inquiries to make me reflect deeper about my experiences. I believe she was not only helpful with my application, but also helpful in allowing me to recognize my importance and worthiness. I will not forget the impact she had on me.” Mike Accepted 2023

“I wouldn’t have been able to get my applications in without Julie. She really knows what she is doing. She will tell you the truth, which can be hard to hear sometimes, but it comes in the spirit of genuinely believing in you and being fully invested in you doing well. She wants you to get in! And with her help, you’ll have a chance!”

- Emily

“I had the pleasure of working with Julie Povick while I was an undergraduate planning to apply to medical school, and during that time it quickly became apparent that she is an outstanding resource to pre-medical students. Her attention to detail, her ability to find connections in the stories of those she works with, and her years of experience make her uniquely qualified to provide consulting to medical applicants. She has a remarkable ability to identify strengths in others, helping them understand how those qualities will make them successful medical students and giving advice on how to convey these skills in applications. She also expertly identifies opportunities for improvement, helping students understand how to grow and push their abilities in purposeful ways. Through her extensive experiences in healthcare, she can identify what physicians want to know about applicants and how to convey this information in the context of the student’s larger goals and stories.” Grey Accepted 2022

“Setting on the journey to apply to medical school was a mountain of a task. It seemed too big to tackle.  But Julie changed that for me, she walked me through a process that made it understandable, digestible and far less scary.  She had the perfect balance of empathy, compassion and encouragement to help me finish strong.  I owe her my acceptance. The work she does changes lives, it changed mine.“ Steve, Accepted 2024
